Chiavari
Chiàvari is an Italian municipality of 27,335 inhabitants in the metropolitan city of Genoa in Liguria. Commercial center of Tigullio, it is the third city by number of inhabitants in the metropolitan area after Genoa and Rapallo. It was the birthplace of the fathers of Nino Bixio, Giuseppe Mazzini and Giuseppe Garibaldi, who, after the cession of Nice to France, became a citizen of Chiavari by virtue of his family origins; this allowed him to remain an Italian citizen.
