The Dreamers is a 2003 film directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. Matthew (Michael Pitt) is an American student who decides to spend some time in Paris to learn French during the May 1968 revolution. At the National Film Archive, the boy meets Isabelle (Eva Green) and Theo (Louis Garrel), two whimsical and unconventional twin brothers. Something happens between the three and, thanks to the fact that the parents of the two are out of town for a month, Matthew moves into their house. The young American, educated in a rigid and traditional way, finds himself overwhelmed by the particular dynamics that are created with the two brothers. At the basis of this relationship is the passion for cinema and art that unites them, but also a certain erotic tension that soon reveals itself in its incestuous implications. Between emotions and mind games that gradually become more extreme, Matthew finds himself managing a relationship he never thought he could have...
