About the event
Friday 26 January 2024 will be held, at 11.30 at the Chiavari Memory Park, the inauguration of the monument in memory of the 46 Jews from Tigullio deported by the Nazi-Fascists.
The Memory Park, the first in Liguria, was born in Chiavari in April 2021 thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality and the city section of the ANPI, to cultivate memory and prevent the horrors of history from repeating themselves. 46 trees have been planted, both tamarisk and Aleppo pines, one for each Jew victim of the Nazi-fascist fury between 1943 and 1945. Their names, already present on a plaque placed on each plant, will be reported on a new monument which will be presented to citizens on Friday 26 January.
